STORM LAKE - The Iowa Central wrestling team was in action here Saturday at the BVU Open hosted by Buena Vista.

Boone McDermott won the heavyweight division, going 5-0 on the day including four falls. In the finals, McDermott pinned South Dakota Stateás Bowen McConville in 1:22.

Maddie Roney placed third, earning four wins on the day at 133 pounds, while Jaquez Bostic was seventh with three victories at 197.

The Tritons are off now until Jan. 10 when they travel to Oklahoma for the NEO Duals.
