COUNCIL BLUFFS - The 10th-ranked Iowa Central wrestling team had no trouble with No. 8 Iowa Western here Thursday night.
Fresh off handling Ellsworth on Tuesday, the Tritons rolled to a 30-14 victory over the Reivers.
Heavyweight Jorden Pryor put an exclamation point on the night with a fall in the final match for Iowa Central.
Hayden Halter claimed a decision at 133 pounds, Keaton Geerts picked up a technical fall at 149 and Nolan Miller-Johnston won by fall at 157 to get the Tritons rolling early. Josh Ramirez and Jose Rodriguez followed with victories.
"Our guys came out very focused, especially after having a meet earlier this week," Iowa Central head coach Luke Moffitt said. "We still have a few areas we can improve on, but I was happy with how we handled some adversity and tough situations."
The Tritons are now 9-2 on the year and 4-1 in the ICCAC, having won each of their last four conference duals. They are 8-1 in their last nine duals overall.
Next action for Iowa Central will be Saturday when they travel to Dubuque for the Duhawk Open.
