Iowa Central wrestles at Loras Open

DUBUQUE - Fresh off a pair of convincing ICCAC dual meet wins, the Iowa Central wrestling team took part in the Loras Open here on Saturday.

Jorden Pryor went a perfect 4-0 to claim the heavyweight title, while Nick Natarcola and Colten McElliott each placed second.

John Lovett finished third, Kade Campbell was sixth and Aiden Carr eighth for the Tritons.

Pryor, a returning NJCAA finalist, won three of his four matches by fall, including a pin of Northern Illinois' Jacob Christensen in the finals. 

Natarcola, wrestling at 141 pounds, had a fall, a major decision and a decision before coming up short in a thrilling 12-8 bout with Tate Murty of Upper Iowa. McElliott three falls and a decision before losing to SIU-Edwardsville's Micah Ervin in the 184-pound finale. 

Iowa Central concludes its regular season on Wednesday when they host Indian Hills inside Hodges Fieldhouse at 7 p.m.
