GRIMES — The Iowa Central wrestling team was in action at the Grand View Open here on Saturday.

Quintin Saunders put together a 3-1 day to place second at 184 pounds. He fell to Iowa State's Cody Fisher in the finals, 7-3.

Caleb Nadig was third, earning five wins on the day. Darnai Heard, a returning national qualifier, was also third, while Brennan Amos added a fourth.

Former Fort Dodge standout Lane Cowell went 4-2 with losses to Evan Frost of Iowa State and Garrett Funk from Northern Iowa. The loss to Frost came in the quarterfinals.
