The 12th-ranked Iowa Central wrestling team continued to knock off rated opponents, this time handling No. 9 Indian Hills, 30-14.

The Tritons have followed up their run to the NJCAA national duals title with victories over both Iowa Lakes and the Warriors as they head out to Wyoming for showdowns with more top-ranked squads.

Fort Dodge Senior High grad Brooks Cowell got Iowa Central on the board with a 3-0 decision at 133 pounds over Manuel Limon. Matt Sarbo, Nathan Napolitano, Andrew Gamble, Phil Smith, Jr. and John Lovett all followed with wins.

Smith pinned Lucas Henderson at 174 pounds and Lovett did the same to Tobias Bell at 197. Sarbo earned a technical fall and Napolitano won by major decision. Lane Cowell, Caleb Nadig and Hugo Harp all lost to ranked wrestlers.

Iowa Central is 4-1 in the ICCAC, with the lone setback coming in November to Iowa Western. Indian Hills had won its first four league duals, including a 28-18 victory over Iowa Western earlier this month.

The Apodaca Duals, hosted by Northwest Wyoming, take place Friday and Saturday in Powell, Wyoming. The Tritons return home on Thursday, Feb. 2, to face Ellsworth in their final dual inside Hodges Fieldhouse this season.
