Trystin Irvin secured his spot at National Champions after becoming the 184-pound District Champion this past weekend. Irvin was one of just three wrestlers to win their class that wasn't the No. 1 seed heading into the day -- and the only three-win champion. As the No. 4 seed, Irvin rallied for three wins. He took down Bruce Lukehart of Iowa Western in the first round via pin. Then he picked up a 14-12 decision in a great match against No. 1 seed from NIACC Jessey Colas. In the finals, Irvin took down Dorian Thompson of Indian Hills in a 4-1 decision. It was an impressive day for the freshman -- the 184-pound ground has four wrestlers ranked in the top 10 in the country heading into the National Tournament.
