Julia Herbst, Cecille Nahimana and Makenzie Fuller all found the back of the net, helping the Iowa Central women's soccer team claim a 3-2 victory over Metropolitan Thursday at Rogers Sports Complex.

Herbst also had an assist, as did Dara Guimarares for the Tritons (1-0 overall).

Iowa Central put a tremendous amount of pressure on the Metropolitan keeper with 14 shots on goal. Herbst had five, Fuller three and both Mara Crimmins and Anna Pons two each. 

Meike Klever made nine saves on 11 attempts in the Triton net. 

Iowa Central returns to action Saturday, August 24 when they host Lake Superior.
