WATERLOO — The Iowa Central women's soccer team picked up their third consecutive win on the season here Saturday, downing Hawkeye, 2-0.
The Tritons (4-1 overall) have not allowed a goal in their last three matches, and have surrendered just two overall with four clean sheets.
After a scoreless first half, Lydia Zaragoza knocked in a goal less than a minute into play in the second. Lauren Chetty made it 2-0 off an assist from Zaragoza in the 60th minute.
Iowa Central had 13 shots and six shots on goal in the match. Jayden Kirsch earned the win in net with four saves.
Next action for the Tritons will be on Wednesday when they travel to Bettendorf to face Scott.
