PELLA - The Iowa Central women's tennis team made a statement in their first fall dual of the season, besting Central here Tuesday, 6-2.

The Tritons picked up two wins in doubles before securing the meet over the American Rivers Conference leaders with four wins in singles. 

Marketa Beladova, Emma Semery, Antonia Ilea and Tricia Veldhuizen were singles winners, with Luba Moyo leading her match when it was called due to the meet being decided. In doubles, Beladova and Semery, along with Ilea and Moyo were winners. 

"It was a dominating victory," Iowa Central head coach Eric Sturgis said. "Marketa did not drop a game in either of her matches and Luba and Antonia had a come-from-behind victory at No. 2 doubles."

Iowa Central returns to action on Friday when they face Northwestern College in Orange City.
