The Iowa Central Women's Tennis Team edged the Bulldogs of Truman State 4-3 in a home meet Saturday afternoon, September 23.

Rain forced the dual meet indoors to the Fort Dodge Tennis Club but that did not stop the Tritons from taking both doubles matches from the NCAA DII Bulldogs. Freshmen pair Abide Valentine Talaki and Adjowa Sika Geli won the first match for the Tritons 6-1. Im Garba and Ayawavi Vania Doste won the second match 6-4. The Bulldogs took match three by default with no Triton opponent.

Vania Doste Won her singles match over Truman State's Allie Brown with 6-1 and 6-1. Valentine Talaki won her singles matches over Akansha Negi 6-1 and 6-2. Siki Geli came up short, falling to the Bulldogs' Sydney Dial 4-6 and 3-6. Garba came out victorious over TSU's Abbi Worster, winning her first set 6-0 and second set 6-4. Truman State won matches five and six by default, 1-0.

Iowa Central Women's Tennis is now 3-0 as a team in their fall campaign after the weekend. They next travel to Arkansas City, Arkansas for the ITA Regionals September 29-October 1.
