ITA Releases April Rankings

Abide Talaki is Ranked in the ITA NJCAA Top 50 in singles

The Iowa Central tennis teams continue to be ranked among the Top-25 Junior College teams by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

The Triton men are currently 15-2 overall for the 2023-2024 season and ranked seventh in the nation.

In men's singles, freshman Hod'Abalo Isak Padio is ranked 19th and Amen Prince Gandonou is 27th in the in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's NJCAA Men's Top 50 national rankings. In NJCAA Region 3 Padio is ranked seventh and Gandonou 11th.

The doubles pair of Amen Prince Gandonou and Hod'Abalo Isak Padio are 17th in the ITA national rankings and sixth in regional standings.  Caleb Peterson and Derrick Namanya are 15th in the regional standings.

The Triton women come in at 7-6 on the 2023-2024 season, ranked 22nd in the ITA national standings.

Ayawavi Vania Dotse is ranked 26th in Intercollegiate Tennis Association's NJCAA Women's Top 50 national singles rankings and 11th in NJCAA Region 3. Abide Valentine Talaki is 33rd nationally and 14th in Region 3.

 The Tritons have wrapped up regular season play and now prepare for the NJCAA National Tournaments. The women's national tournament is May 4-8 in Tyler, TX. The men's tournament is May 13-17 in Plano, TX.
