Hannah Connell ran herself into the Iowa Central history books.

Connell, a freshman from Barbados, was named the ICCAC Track and Field Athlete of the Week after her performances at the South Dakota State Indoor Classic.

The sprinter set two personal bests in both the 200-meter and 60-meter hurdles. She clocked a time of 24.59 in the 200, placing her in the Top-10 in school history. 

In the 60 hurdles, her time of 8.46 was second-best in program history and third-best in the country this year. 

Connell and the rest of the Tritons will seek another Region XI Championship this Friday and Saturday in Storm Lake before heading to the NJCAA National Championships March 6-7 in Lynchburg, Virginia.
