The Iowa Central men's and women's track teams scored their 15th Region XI titles Saturday in Storm Lake.
On the men's side, the Tritons scored 261 points with Iowa Western placing second with 144. The Iowa Central women racked up 293 points, well ahead of the Reivers, who had 112 for runner-up honors.
In all, Iowa Central registered eight new national qualifying performances and two additional relays during the meet for the upcoming NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
"I am very happy with how our students competed this weekend to remain undefeated at the Indoor Regional Championships and bring home our 15th Regional Title for both our men and women," head coach Jordan Burkholder said. "Our students had some great energy at the meet and started day one with a total of 14 All- Region performances and broke 4 Region XI Meet Records. This weekend our men achieved 14 Regional Champion performances and our women won 13, with total of 69 All-Region performances between both teams."
