Winrose Chesang Honored as Female Triton Athlete of the Year

2019-2020 Female Triton Athlete of the Year - Winrose Chesang Winrose Chesang has been chosen as the 2019-2020 Female Triton Athlete of the Year.

Chesang finished her career with one school record in cross country at 6 kilometers. She was a four-time national champion, three times in track and field and once in the half marathon. She earned 7 NJCAA All-American honors in track and field and one each in cross country and the half marathon. She was a member of three Iowa Central national team titles. Chesang graduated in from Iowa Central in December where she studied Pre-Nursing. She is a member of the Iowa State University women's cross country & track and field teams. At the 2020 Big 12 Indoor Championships, Chesang placed 3rd in the 5km and 6th in the 3km for Iowa State.
