Frye third at USD Challenge

VERMILLION, S.D. - Jerome Jessup gave the Iowa Central track team a big start to the South Dakota Challenge here Friday night.

Jessup sprinted past several Div. I runners to win the 200-meter dash. He finished in 21.26 as a handful of Triton athletes took to the track and field at Lillibridge Complex.

Odell Frye was third in the women's 200, finishing in a time of 24.56 while James MacKey Jr. picked up a fourth in the discus with a throw of 168-05.

Aries Scott recorded 3,458 points in the decathlon, winning the 400, finishing second in the high jump and third in both the 100 and long jump. The rest of his events will conclude Saturday.

Daqwon Wilson was 11th in the 200 and Victoria Adu 13th in the javelin.

More Iowa Central athletes will compete here Saturday.
