Tina Samson started the Outdoor season with a solid performance at the ACU Wes Kittley in Abilene, Texas.
Samson won the Long Jump with a leap of 5.61 meters. With that she is the second ranked long jumper in the country.
Additionally, the NJCAA Indoor Pentathlon Champion competed in the Javelin, reaching a qualifying mark of 38.12, and placed sixth at the event.
Samson is ranked fifth in the NJCAA to date, and sits at No. 2 all-time in the Iowa Central record books.
