The Iowa Central Track and Field teams have qualified several events for the prestigious Drake Relays this week.

The Drake Relays will begin on Wednesday for the Tritons with Tina Samson in the Heptathlon, Samson's event will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m. She will continue with competition in the Heptathlon at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Also on Thursday, the men's 4X800 meter relay team of Antoine Tshimanga-Kabeya, Trevon Prince, Seon Booker and Jadon Boots will run at 4:44 p.m. and Jed Elmbarki will compete in the men's open steeplechase at 6:48 p.m.

The men's 4x100 relay preliminaries will open Friday for the Triton team of Waukeem Walters, Bongumusa Nkosi, Youssef Hamed and Stephen Sydnor at 9:32 a.m.

Dayvione Briggs will compete at 2:08 p.m. in the women's 400-meter hurdles. The women's 4x400 relay preliminaries begin at 3:11 p.m. The Iowa Central team of Abigail Frey, Tina Samson, Nicole Schaefer and Dayvione Briggs will run in the event, followed by the men's 4x400 team of Bongumusa Nkosi, Trevon Prince, Seon Booker and Antoine Tshimanga-Kabeya in the preliminaries at 3:34. The men's sprint medley team of Youssef Hamed, Waukeem Walters, Bongumusa Nkosi and Jadon Boots will run at approximately 6:33 p.m. to close out Friday's events.

Saturday's events will begin with the men's distance medley relay of Jadon Boots,  Bongumusa Nkosi, Trevon Prince, and Jed Elmbarki running at 9:25 p.m. Stephen Sydnor and Waukeem Walters will compete in the men's long jump at 1:00 p.m.
