Iowa Central went a perfect 9-0 last year in ICCAC play to claim the league title.

Kirkwood won the regional, advancing to nationals and placing fourth. Northeast won another regional and moved to nationals for the third consecutive year.

Three other conference schools were ranked inside the Top-20 at one point last year, with five in all finishing the season there.

To say the ICCAC is the top volleyball conference in the nation would be an understatement.

Triton head coach Sara Horn and her group of returning players and newcomers will look to keep the ball rolling this fall. Iowa Central is ranked 18th in the preseason poll with Kirkwood fourth and Northeast 11th.

Amaya Finley is the key returning piece for Horn, who went 28-10 overall against a schedule that featured a handful of ranked teams from outside the conference. Finley had 531 kills with Taylor Bienemann and Delaney Spinks providing experience, as well.

Bienemann had 411 digs and Spinks chipped in 11 kills.

Those three, along with transfers Hannah Huss and Abbie Stewart will be counted on to replace the likes of Abby Lohrmann, Libby Zorn, Kayla Faldet, Hannah Murray and Kryssie Okinaka.

"Iowa Central will have a new look this season," Horn said. "We lost six two-year starters from the lineup."

Lohrmann earned All-American honors and was named the school's female athlete of the year, with Zorn and Okinaka joining her on all-ICCAC teams.

Iowa Central opens conference play on September 4 against Ellsworth with key dates set for September 18 at Hawkeye and October 9 at Kirkwood. The regular season begins Friday in Nebraska against Metropolian, Central, Johnson County and College of St. Mary JV.

Johnson County is ranked third, with both Metropolian and Central receiving votes.
