Playing inside Hodges Fieldhouse for the first time in two weeks, the 12th-ranked Iowa Central volleyball team rolled past Hawkeye Wednesday night.

Scores were 25-15, 25-18 and 25-15.

The Tritons improved to 17-1 on the year and 3-0 in the ICCAC, pushing their season win streak to 15. Iowa Central has also won its last 12 league games dating back to last year.

Amaya Finley had 17 kills, 10 digs, Kealey Anderson added 10 kills and eight digs, and Taylor Light had eight kills. Abbie Stewart and Haley Alharithy each had four kills.

"This is the most balanced offensive team we've had here," ICCC head coach Sara Horn said. "This is definitely our most solid and most impressive hitting lineup. We can run a 5-1 and any of the five hitters can all get kills out there."

Alesha Johnson set those hitters up with 39 assists, adding 11 digs. Taylor Bienemann had 15 digs, Sydni George recorded four of the 10 aces for the Tritons and Hannah Huss chipped in four digs.

"We haven't been home in a while, but I thought we came out really strong in our serve-pass game," Horn said. "That allowed our attackers to have a lot of connections."

Iowa Central returns to the court next Wednesday at Iowa Lakes before returning home the following Wednesday, October 2 to face Southwestern.
