With Kirkwood falling eight spots to 13th, the Iowa Central volleyball team is now the highest ranked ICCAC team in the NJCAA Div. II Top-20.
The Tritons remained 12th in the nation, stretching their current win streak to 15 with a win last weekend at home in straight sets over Hawkeye. Iowa Central is 17-1 on the season and a perfect 3-0 in the league as defending conference champions.
Iowa Central's lone loss on the year came at the Central-Columbus Tournament in Nebraska against No. 3 Johnson County. Parkland is ranked No. 1 and receiving all seven first place votes with Coffeyville second.
The Tritons play their next five matches either on the road or at a neutral site starting Wednesday with a league meeting at Iowa Lakes. This weekend, Iowa Central travels to Grand Rapids, Michigan to play Mott, Lansing, Oakland and 10th-ranked Grand Rapids.
On Wednesday, October 2, the Tritons return to Hodges Fieldhouse to welcome Southwestern.
Among national leaders, Amaya Finley is seventh in kills and Kealey Anderson is eighth.
