Tritons 11th Ahead Of Return Home, Date With No. 2 Coffeyville

The Iowa Central volleyball team returns to Hodges Fieldhouse Wednesday night to take on ICCAC foe Southwestern. Match time is set for 7 p.m. 

The Tritons moved up in the latest NJCAA Div. II poll to 11th after going 3-1 at the Grand Rapids Tournament this past weekend. Iowa Central is now 21-2 on the season and a perfect 4-0 as the defending league champions.

On Friday, they will have the chance to test themselves against second-ranked Coffeyville in Boone at the DMACC Tournament. 

Sophomore Amaya Finley leads the nation in total kills with 340, while teammate Kealey Anderson is fourth with 314. Finley is also second in points and Anderson is ninth. 

Alesha Johnson is fourth in assists with 630 and Taylor Bienemann is 19th in digs with 373. 

Haley Alharithy is 10th in the country in total blocks with 91.

Bienemann and Finley were honored by the ICCAC as Div. II Players of the Week. Bienemann earned defensive honors and Finley the offensive award.
