Iowa Central remains perfect in league play

The 11th-ranked Iowa Central volleyball team remained perfect in ICCAC play with a sweep over Southwestern inside Hodges Fieldhouse Wednesday night.

Scores were 25-8, 25-18 and 25-16.

The Tritons improved to 22-2 overall and 5-0 in the league with the victory. They are defending conerence champions and have won 19 of their last 20 matches headling into a Friday tilt with No. 2 Coffeyville in Boone at the DMACC Tournament.

Amaya Finley had 14 kills and added 11 digs, with Karolayne Santos adding five kills and Kealey Anderson four. A total of nine players had at least one kill each in the match.

Alesha Johnson recorded 25 assists and 13 digs, Taylor Bienemann had 13 digs and Anderson chipped in with nine. Iowa Central had a total of three solo blocks and 10 assisted along with seven serving aces.
