Iowa Central's Abbie Stewart was a force defensively against some tough competition last week for the Tritons, earning ICCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Stewart averaged 1.38 blocks per set against ranked competition in three different matches against No. 19 Kirkwood, No. 4 Cowley and No. 18 North Dakota Science.

Against North Dakota Science, she had a season-high eight blocks. The sophomore also had 28 kills on the week.

Stewart is fifth in the conference in total blocks with 112 in 31 sets.

Iowa Central takes on Southeastern Wednesday night inside Hodges Fieldhouse beginning at 7 p.m.
