The eighth-ranked Iowa Central volleyball team has the opportunity to make history Wednesday night inside Hodges Fieldhouse.

With a win over 13th-ranked North Iowa Area, the Tritons will secure the ICCAC regular season title for a second consecutive season. Last year, Iowa Central (31-5 overall, 7-1 in ICCAC) went a perfect 9-0 in the conference.

"Winning the conference title two years in a row would be really special, as it's never happened in Iowa Central volleyball history," ICCC head coach Sara Horn said. "It would be a great exclamation for these sophomores to cap off a great two-year career."

The Tritons have won 12 of 13 matches at home this season and are on a six-match win streak. They will also host regionals this coming weekend as either the No. 1 or No. 2 seed.

"We are excited to be at home," Horn said. "Our crowd has always been phenomenal for our big matches and we are hoping this week won't be any different. They bring a great energy and it definitely makes a difference on the court."

Amaya Finley, who became the school's career leader in kills, ranks second in the nation with 539 kills on the year. Freshman Kealey Anderson has 511, good for fifth in the country.

As a team, Iowa Central is third in the nation in points and kills, fourth in block assists and assists, and fifth in digs.
