No. 5 Iowa Central keeps on rolling

WEST BURLINGTON - Fifth-ranked Iowa Central remained in control of a third consecutive ICCAC volleyball title with another sweep here on Saturday.

The Tritons downed Southeastern in three. Scores were 25-12, 25-15 and 28-26. 

Since going four sets with Kirkwood to begin the year, Iowa Central (6-0 overall, 5-0 in ICCAC) has swept each of its last five opponents. They have won 17 consecutive sets overall and are 18-1 on the year. 

Kealey Anderson paced the Tritons with 18 kills while adding 11 digs and an ace. Katilyn Steffes added 10 kills and Haley Alharithy had six. 

Alesha Johnson recorded 33 assists with seven digs while Baylyn Johnson had 12 digs. 

Angel Baylark added four kills and two solo blocks, Alesha Johnson had seven digs, Bailey Dugan two kills, Steffes and Karli Eckert six digs each and Darlynn Okinaka three digs with an ace. 

Iowa Central remains on the road, heading to play No. 12 Hawkeye on Tuesday beginning at 6 p.m.
