No. 8 Tritons downed on the road

OTTUMWA - The eighth-ranked Iowa Central volleyball team did all they could to battle out of an early hole here Wednesday night vs. Indian Hills.

In the end, it wasn't enough, as the Tritons fell in four sets. Scores were 25-18, 25-15, 21-25 and 25-13.

Katilyn Steffes led the way for Iowa Central (10-2 overall, 9-2 in ICCAC) with 20 kills and 11 digs while Kealey Anderson added eight kills and six digs. Baylyn Johnson had 20 digs and Alesha Johnson 39 assists.

Angel Baylark added six kills and four block assists with Haley Alharithy chipping in five kills. Molly McCauley recorded two serving aces, six kills and six digs.

The Tritons look to rebound when they host No. 4 Kirkwood on Sunday inside Hodges Fieldhouse.
