Iowa Central's Mercedes Madlock produced again last week as the Tritons put it in high gear. The Tritons picked up three quality wins against (RV) Ellsworth, #4 Parkland (Ill.) and #8 Heartland (Ill.). Madlock racked up 169 assists in 15 sets, but also picked up 16 kills, noteworthy in a 5-1 system. She added eight aces as well. This season, Madlock is third in the ICCAC and seventh in the country in total assists with 882. Her 10.5 assists per set is a league best and again, seventh-best in the country. The Tritons take on Southwestern and Hawkeye in conference play this week.
