Triton Women Take Down Lakers 50-5

The Iowa Central Women's Wrestling team traveled to Estherville to take on Iowa Lakes Wednesday November 15.

The No. 2 (NJCAA) ranked Tritons won the match over the Lakers 50-5.

Sixth-ranked Myah Rauch won by default at 101 with Iowa Lakes having an open spot at the 101 weight class. Second-ranked Dianna Pineda won a quick 35-second match over Laker Kylie Hessenius by fall at 109.

Triton sophomore Rodiat Adeduntan ranked fourth at 116 pounds, defeated Savanna Galindo. Aniyah Dinwiddie won by fall Iowa Lakes' Alex Carty at 123 while Sophomore Bronwyn Brenneman and Freshman Alexis Ross each won by default with the Lakers open spots at 130 and 136 respectively.

Second-ranked Hadlie Hood defeated Isabel Jues by fall at 143 and Eavenly Nielsen won at 155 over Leila Kollasch by fall.

Isabella Canada won by default with an open 191 and Cynthia Ellis defeated Annika Vasquez at 235 by fall.

The Tritons' only loss of the night came by a 31-second fall with Laker Morgan Griffin defeating Triton Olivia Fausnaugh at 170.

The Tritons compete at the Missouri Valley open in Marshall, Missouri Friday and Saturday.
