Iowa Central's Marie Garret had a great performance in the Augie Twilight last week. Garret finished 23rd out of 239 runners. She ran a time of 17:55.5 in a 5k, which was an average mile pace of 5:46. It was Garret's personal best 5k race as well. Iowa Central took eighth place at the event that had 29 teams participating. They had five runners finish in the top 50 which were Garret (23rd) Yididiya Bifa (31st) and Abbi Hutchinson (37th), Imane Jourji (41st) and Maud Lambotte (43rd). Iowa Central will head to Lincoln, Neb. for the annual Greeno/Dirksen Invite in two weeks.
