NEW ORLEANS - With the exception of No. 1, all of the top-10 teams are in new positions in the Week 1 edition of the 2024 NJCAA Division I Women's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll, which was released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Up two spots is No. 3 Iowa Central CC, now at their highest since being No. 1 in Week 5 of 2021. The Tritons haven't raced since being the top JUCO program at the Augie Twilight and Iowa's Hawkeye Invitational, led by freshmen Marie Garret and Yiddiya Bifa, respectively, in those contests. The women will compete this Saturday at the Woody Greeno/Jay Dirksen Invitational co-hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan University and the University of Nebraska.
