2018 Triton Marching Band Outlook

2018 Triton Marching Band Outlook

The 2018 version of the Iowa Central Community College Triton Marching Band is excited to start camp on August 20th, and to hit the ground running with the first home game of the season on Saturday August 25th.

Again the band will be performing multiple halftime shows this fall.  The first show planned to be performed is "On the Radio".  Fans will be able to hear the music of Imagine Dragons with Believer,  the hit Feel It Still from Portugal, The Man, and Havana by Camila Cabello at home games on August 25, September 29, and October 20.   Hits from soundtrack of the movie Guardians of the Galaxy will be featured in our halftime shows on September 15, October 13, and November 3, featuring "Hooked On A Feeling", "Spirit In The Sky", "I Want You Back", "Escape (The Pina Colada Song)", and "Ain't No Mountain High Enough".

Of course, halftime is not the only time you hear the band during home games at Dodger Stadium.  Just like any university, game day is a full experience for Triton Nation.  Fans will definitely want to make sure they're in their seats at least 10 minutes prior to kick off to see our pregame show, featuring the Iowa Central Dance Team, Triton Cheer, and various Iowa Central athletic teams assisting with our 1,800 square foot American flag and more!

Student leadership this fall will be led by Drum Majors Andrew Schertz of Fort Dodge, IA, and Kylee Shannon of Storm Lake, IA.

The Triton Marching Band is also excited for a number of opportunities away from the home football schedule.  Exhibition performances will take place in Fort Dodge for the North Central Iowa Band Invitational on September 22nd, and as part of the Parker, SD Marching Festival on September 21st.   The band will take its music on the road to a number of area high schools in short run out performances September and October, so look out for the band at schools, parades, games and more.

As always, we're hopeful to finish the season with another bowl game performance.
